Customers, friends and family are encouraged sponsor our staff horseback trail ride at Conestoga Horseback Adventures at 4PM on Saturday, October 25th, 2014. We’re fundraising for the Farley Foundation, an important pet charity.
How saddle sore will we get?
Will our horses swim across the river or dunk us instead?
Some of our staff are afraid of horses others are experienced and will be given the more challenging mounts.
Staff who prefer to keep their feet on the ground will offer dog walks around the RIM park track at a rate of $2/lap.
Another great way to participate is to arrange your own trek on the trails following the Conestoga river. Book a ride with Horseback Adventures or bring your own dog, horse (or cat) on the Health Valley Trail from the public access in St Jacobs. Enjoy the fall scenery and don’t forget to ask friends and family to sponsor your journey by donating to our Farley Foundation Page.
For all of October we will be fundraising for Farley with a complimentary nail trim in return for a $5 donation (appointments required). We also will have the adorable Farley dolls for sale, these gorgeous stuffies are loved by children, grownups and pets. You may remember Farley from the comic strip For Better or For Worse. Artist Lynn Johnston allows the Farley Foundation to use Farley to represent and draw attention to the cause.
The Farley Foundation assists the following pet owners:
- Disabled individuals
- Participants of OVMA’s SafePet Program
- Pets in care facilities (for seniors)
- Ontario Works Recipients
